Former Tanaka Family Villaキュウタナカケベッテイ

The Former Tanaka Villa is a historic building located in Fukuyama-cho, Kirishima-shi, Kagoshima Prefecture.
It was originally built in the Taisho era as a villa for businessman Tanaka Shozo, and has been designated a tangible cultural property of the prefecture, as it retains the architectural features of the time.
Tanaka was an important figure who supported the black vinegar industry, a specialty of Fukuyama-cho.

The building is a mix of Japanese and Western styles, making it a valuable piece of architecture that gives a sense of the modern lifestyle of the time. The garden is also beautifully maintained, and one of its attractions is its location, which overlooks Kinko Bay and Sakurajima. Currently, anyone can view it for free, and it is a place where you can spend a relaxing time while feeling the history. You can enjoy
the lush greenery in spring, the autumn leaves in autumn, and the lonely and charming scenery in winter.

You can also take commemorative photos for weddings and coming-of-age ceremonies inside the building for a fee.
It will be a great memory to commemorate with your family or special someone.

Even after 100 years, the Former Tanaka Family Villa continues to exist and is loved by the local community.
In the autumn, when the ginkgo trees of the nearby Miyanouramiya change color, why not spend a luxurious time at this 100-year-old famous house?
